All 50 states fit inside the Top 80 when ranked against other countries.
Only 30 countries in the world have a higher GDP per capita than Mississippi (the lowest ranked state)
Only 16 countries in the world rank above Louisiana.

It has been fascinating how well Alabama has been ran the past 30 years. We will have roughly 1M more people than Louisiana the next census.

But this is true for the majority of the south honestly. People think everyone in LA lives on the set of the waterboy yet our GDP / capita is in the 30s and we have the 7th highest based on STEM contributions.

This is GDP per capita as well. Which isn't useless but can be highly misleading.
Especially in America's socialist system of taking from wealthy states and investing in poorer states. 7 of the top 10 states on the domestic GDP would be considered liberal shitholes.
