A little stressed and have gained some lbs. I've quit twice and swore I'd never touch nicotine again. What should I do?

5'8" and 240 is no good. Don't add smoking to the profile.

And now you started a thread about eating quadruple patty In and Out burgers?

Don't do it.

Try pouches if you must have nicotine.

Seriously though, don't do it.

Hold out, man. The urge will pass. If you give in, you’ll likely be back in the habit.

In the know wants you to get emphysema, copd, cancer and die.

It's going to become a new expensive habit, but I agree with the nicotine pouch recommendation. Get you some Zyn 3MG to help with the cravings. The 3MGs are mostly for people legitimately trying to quit a bad habit, as well as teenagers and queers, but do your best to not to advance to the 6MGs or higher.

Keep a pack of 2mg Nicorette gum handy. Use that as your emergency brake first before going buy more cigarettes/cigars.
If you buy a pack of cigarettes, if you're anything like me, then you'll find any excuse in the book to smoke the whole pack before they "go stale" and bam, you're making excuses to smoke again.

ETA: The pouches are much cheaper than the gum, and are way better, but they are super addictive and easy to use. You won't think twice before going through a can of Zyn in a couple of days, but you'd probably only chew a gum when needed.

It's really weird how chewing a gum removes all craving and mental gymnastics for wanting a smoke.

Go buy some cigarettes

I used to smoke camel lights as my go to but quit about 20 years ago. I tried to start back last year but it’s just not the same so gave the rest of the pack away

This is why I haven't quit smoking. I spend less than a nickel a cigarette. If I could make my own pouches for close to that I'd consider quiting.
