NEW ORLEANS — The Zulu Social Aid & Pleasure Club is investigating an incident in which a rider on Float 26 allegedly threw an alcohol bottle from the second story of the float on Mardi Gras Day, striking a 4-year-old child.

“We are deeply disturbed by this report and extend our sincere concern to the child and family involved,” the krewe said in a statement. “The safety of children, families, paradegoers, and the public is of paramount importance to Zulu.”

“We are actively investigating the incident, working to identify the individual involved, and will take appropriate and decisive action consistent with Zulu’s rules, disciplinary procedures, and any applicable laws,” the statement said.

This incident comes amid growing concerns about unsafe behavior during parades...

Will the Mayor come out and condemn everyone for this very clearly, racist attack?

I think it's important whether it's a brown or clear liquor given the uproar the past week on the race of throws. Also, who threw it? Were they targeting the child? Why don't we have photos of them to dox?

The Barbies didn't give anyone a TBI either..
