TEAMs meetings

These should be outlawed. Dealing with a client now who insists on wasting everyone’s time in these in the most drawn out, painfully long, torturous way possible.

At my last job, I probably spent 60% of my time on Teams meetings post Covid. Thankfully at my current job it's just a few per week.

Do you not do business with people out of town?

Nothing better than a Teams meeting to plan a Teams meeting...
The worst thing about Teams is when a client doesn't even bother to ask if a time works for you, and you end up double booked for 2 clients because they don't care that you have other clients--they are the only one that matters...
Some of my clients are good about asking a certain time works. Others just don't care.

If someone asked me today “Where do you see yourself in five years?” my answer would have zero connection to anything career or work-ish.
tl/dr: Getting old sucks except you have money* and can stop going to work forever.

The worst is when overweight ugly women get too close to the camera. A little self-awareness goes a long way.

Nah.
I like having meetings while sitting on my couch in a hoody.
Well, I don't like having meetings, but if I'm going to have them, I prefer this method.

You realize the alternative is the same torture but in a conference room, right?

Meetings in general that could just be an e-mail should be considered time theft. Most of the meetings I deal with, it's just information being given that could be conveyed in an email. Meetings scope should be limited to collaboration only.

Rinse, repeat.
Rinse, repeat.

Are those like TPS reports?

This. Atleast with teams meetings I can actually get work done while people are talking about things that could have been an email.
