Epstein and McCarthyism tools to destroy innocent enemies

What is happening is exactly what Trump did not want to happen. Photos and memos taken out of context, screwing up innocent (and Im not talking victims) innocent people's lives.
As a sidenote, for all of you who think Disney was some all American company until recently. Did you know during the height of the supposed communist purge in Hollywood ole Walt himself brought forward two of them in his own organization.
They were two of the most skilled artists in his studio. Who also happened to be in charge of the artist guild union that was on the verge of a strike because ole Walt was making a mint off their work.
They were, years later, vindicated, but ruined, and Walt broke the union. By any means necessary indeed.
Lutnick is a perfect example. He had lunch with Epstein, with his family. But he lied and said he had little contact after Epstein was convicted. Well if you knew how evil the dems were, would you volunteer you had lunch with the guy? Ive been around ex cons, does that mean Im guilty of their crimes? What a frickin witch hunt this has become.
Meanwhile the economy is humming, I mean humming. But just like puppets some of you are dangling of the strings of paid off puppetmaster massie

Nailed it, as usual.
Although, McCarthy was for the most part correct about Communist infiltration of government and other institutions (entertainment, universities).

When is anybody gonna just say - likely true - that they felt Epstein was clout chasing and they were just using him for his plane and money and taking free trips to a nice island?
Posted on 2/16/26 at 6:29 am to NC_Tigah
Yes. Lutnick said point blank, “he met Epstein once and was so disgusted with the guy that he was made sure he never in the same room as Epstein again”.
That was a blatant lie, as Lutnick was palling it up with Epstein for years thereafter.
Now, has political partisanism gotten so bad that we just don’t care when our side lies anymore? Maybe. Maybe that’s the lesser of evils. So if you’re willing to just straight up say that you don’t care, I get it. Our system has broken badly enough that that response would make sense.
But those saying he didn’t lie or didn’t do anything sketchy are just simply fooling themselves. If Lutnick wasn’t a politician, everyone would recognize him as a genuinely sleazy guy. But since he’s a politician, he’s pretty standard for that group of people. So folks find it easy to just shrug it off.
It’s a disappointing reflection on the state of our leadership class.

McCarthy, for all his faults, needs to have his legacy updated with the truth he was trying to expose.

And there it is, exactly what Im talking about.
Lutnik has secured trade deals bringing in 100s of billions of tariffs, leveled the playing field and help bring back manufacturing to the US as well as trillions in foreign investment.
He has helped secure peace and saved 1000s of lives.
Yet he had lunch with Epstein, eeewwwww is this the kind of leader we want?
When Eisenhower wanted to fix the Bulge he called on Patton, warts and all, to fix it. He didnt call on the organizer of midnight basketball because the "optics" might look better.

No part of my post expressed “eww” over the lunch they had. My post discussed the indisputable truth that Lutnick told bold faced, unequivocal lies directly to our faces.
The disappointing aspect of our political class that I was discussing was the reality that politicians no longer feel any responsibility to be honest to the public. At all. It should be okay with you that some of us would hope for policy successes to be paired with a basic commitment to truth. The idea of that desire being met with your reflexive pushback is exactly the part of politics that has become disappointing.

Yes, the same Roy Cohn who was Trump's mentor.

Oh so now he "lied" so thats worth destroying the guy. Forget he did it simply to stop this nonsense. Have you ever lied, have you ever gone over the speed limit, forgot your seatbelt, well that is a standard I cant live with.
Im reminded of General Halleck the superior officer to Grant during the western campaign who continually sent derogatory letters to Lincoln about Grants performance (because he was petrified of Grants success).
Finally, after Lincoln received another letter from Halleck after Shiloh, accusing Grant of being "back on the bottle". Lincoln responded and asked Halleck to find out what Grant was drinking and buy a bottle for the rest of his reports because Grant seemed to be the only one winning.........
For what its worth, Im far less concerned about him meeting Epstein than I am about his sons running a rare earth consulting gig that the fed govt just invested in the company they represented..........

Trump is to be taken seriously, not literally.
But also literally too, sometimes.

I don't know if I'd call it a "lie".
Objectively, it appears that Lutnick at one point had a close personal relationship with JE, but it also looks like that relationship was relegated to just some occasional Email contact after the conviction.
I don't know. There's just so much crap out there right now that I don't want to make a mountain of a mole hill. I'd rather focus on what appears irrefutable and obvious. If that leads to a mole hill actually being a mountain, so be it. We just want the truth, each and every one of us.

Anyone that interacts with a convicted pedophile deserves scrutiny and judgment.

We as a society are so prone to kindness that we refuse to take hard action until it’s almost too late.
It’s entirely unique historically among hegemonic powers and there might be a reason for that.
We can either take a Japanese approach where we wall our civilization off from others who seek what we’ve achieved without agreeing to abide by the values and morality that achieved it, become more aggressive as Trump is in fighting for who we want to be or accept as Europe has that they will die out.
The path of the last 30 years is slow cultural and societal suicide and it must be absolutely rejected.

Get off your high horse. It’s an equal problem for the left, as it is equal for the center. That’s my whole point. The standards to which we hold our political class have absolutely collapsed. We’ve all accepted untrustworthy leadership. And our country suffers every day for it.
