I love some of these food shorts videos on YouTube and some of the best I’ve found have been from Katz. What an amazing looking sandwich here.

It certainly is not cheap but these days I would easily get two meals out of it. That actually makes it a pretty darn good deal.

Between this and their Pastrami sandwich, they clearly go through a staggering amount of meat every week.

Definitely on my food bucket list.

I had to post this one too. I love watching these people work. This guy in particular is amazing. The sandwich? Again, looks incredible.

A long time ago, there was one in Austin. Can verify it's list worthy.

I would assume that would have been affiliated with the Katz’s from Houston, which I’m all but certain, has no connection at all with the NYC place. I think it’s a good deli, though.

We have ordered the Reuben package from Katz several times. Not cheap, but definitely delicious.

The Famous 4th deli in Philly appears to be like Katz. I've been there once and it was an interesting place. I was impressed by the quantity, but not so much by the taste. Everything was overly salty to me. You can easily make two meals off one sandwich.

I visit NYC a few times a year and always make time to go to Katz. They also ship big kits you can use to make sandwiches at home, we've used them over the holidays and they're amazing.

Get the fatty pastrami, the lean isn't nearly as good. Rye is also such a mediocre bread, I suggest getting the meat and mustard only and putting it on some good french bread

Nice. Thanks for the link. This is good to know, although I would love to make my first experience with the meat being actually ordering the sandwich there. Maybe if a couple more years go by and I haven’t been up there.

Now that is some hefty praise right there. I don’t know that I like corned beef enough for it to surpass some of the best roast beef poboys I’ve had. But I have no doubt I would love the reuben.

It is well worth it. Not the easiest line and seating/pay system, but somehow they make it work. I try to go every time I am in the city, but can't always make it happen.

Katz is worth a weekend trip to NYC by itself. Just don’t eat for 24 hrs before you go. One sandwich will more than feed two people

Katz and Carnegie (RIP) are/were places you just can’t replicate the food or the experience. There is nothing like that outside of the city and metro area

Wow - I wish I hadn't seen this. I've done the lobster kit from Cousin's Maine Lobster, which was 10/10 for a home kit, and this looks incredible too.

I grew up eating Reubens like this one when I lived in Kansas City, except that nasty salad dressing, I miss them . My dad used to bring them home and we would have them for dinner, usually a half of one per person.

Looks great, but looks like he dumped a bunch of meat on the floor trimming it.
