Dude was in the same recruiting class as Trevor Lawrence and Micah Parsons to put in perspective.

Montana linebacker Solomon Tuliaupupu was granted a ninth year of eligibility and will return for the 2026 season, the school announced on social media. Tuliaupupu, who initially signed with USC in 2018, is entering his second campaign at Montana.

Tuliaupupu has lost at least five years of his career due to injury. After signing with the Trojans as a four-star prospect out of California's Mater Dei High School, Tuliaupupu's foot surgery that kept him sidelined for the first two seasons of his collegiate career.
He then suffered a knee injury during summer workouts that kept him sidelined from 2020-21. Tuliaupupu was finally able to make his USC debut in 2022, where finished the year with 10 total tackles and 2.5 sacks.

Tuliaupupu suffered another knee injury in training camp ahead of the 2023 season, which cost him the entire year. He made his return midway through USC's 2024 season and appeared in nine games.
That means Tuliaupupu has only been on the field for three seasons in an eight-year span, which was likely the argument used when granting him one more year of eligibility.

Can't wait for his 10th season, because he was around for the covid bonus thread next year.

Wow so many injuries but at least he didn't have tonsillitis that would have derailed his career like Chambliss did

1 isn't remotely close to the other - but nice try

At some point it's time to hang up the cleats and move on with your life. You've been injured for the better part of a decade because your body is made of glass and when you did see the field you were trash. Your story isn't inspiring, it's pathetic

They aren't even remotely comparable.
One made his own decision to forego his remaining college eligibility to enter the NBA draft. The other needed foot surgery that cost him 2 full seasons, then went on to have season ending knee injuries 3 separate times.
And apparently he's not wasting all those extra years of eligibility. He's got a bachelors and a masters degree from USC already and working towards a graduate certificate at Montana.

Man that's ridiculous. Maybe it's time to move on and let a highschool kid have a shot at the roster. It seems like not even his body wants him playing football.

That's what I'm talking about!!!
