Bring back the GOAT uniforms. We can address the coaching change after the season is over. Baby steps.

Goats are the white uniforms with the triangles in the trim.

Those were terrible.

The players in the uniform, not the uniform.

MBB was never great. They had a handful of good teams but never had success to the point you can call the program great.

What an ignorant and retarded statement

You obviously missed 1978-1981.....

Goat uniforms are the 1977-79 style with the stars and Louisiana State script. McMahon brought replicas of them back out his first season for four home games-- Tennessee, Texas Tech, South Carolina and Missouri. Well we were really bad that year and lost each one of those games, and unfortunately they've disappeared from the style rotation. They need to return-- with a better team and a better coach (Will Wade, perhaps?)

Love those, the whites were nice and those purples were easily our best purple jerseys ever.

See 1980-2000 (13 ncaa tournament appearances, 5 sweet 16s, 4 elite 8s, 2 final 4s). Considered 2nd best sec program at least through the 1980s until passed by Arky & Fla

Everything about the program needs to be changed. I wish they would go back to these uniforms.
A lot of teams have gone back to their 80s and 90s uniforms and they look a lot better. Missouri, Arkansas & Florida to name a few.

Is to fire everyone even remotely associated with the basketball program, from ops director through HC and assistants, training staff, concession workers. Everyone. A true clean slate is the only way.

Some don't like the phrase but culture change is absolutely what's needed, top to bottom and throughout. WW about had it turned but spilled milk, water under the bridge - whatever you like - it reverted back and is in dire need of said change.

these are nice, do these have the dunking tiger logo on the shorts? Didn't it used to always be Gold for home games, Purple for road games? No whites at all?

They were different, unique and fit the team. but I liked the ones right after those with the stacked LOUISIANA STATE on the front. (The Rudy Macklin signature uniforms)

It is a small thing, but kind of indicative of the fact McMahon never brought any identity to his program. That is the fact LSU still uses the "Boot up" slogan.
That was something implemented by Wade. It wasn't some longstanding slogan deeply entrenched in LSU sports. It feels like if you are the new leader of the program you would want to get rid of the prior HC's identity and implement your own. Even something as insignificant as a catchphrase.
McMahon has looked overwhelmed by the job from literally day one. His opening press conference was totally uninspiring. He seems nervous and just "happy to be here" vs. a guy who felt like he belonged in this type of job and was eager to roll.

Had no idea they still used Boot Up. I always thought they should, and more sports should too. Credit Will Wade for introducing something that could have a lasting association with the LSU brand. It didn’t have to die with him and Lane, Jay, and Kim should do it more often IMO.
