It’s Saddening & Maddening To Watch What’s Happening At The Washington Post

On the eve of the Super Bowl, they’re bitching about the lack of Colin Kaepernick discussion.
Bezo still has work to do.

Long but satisfying trip down the WaPo memory lane.

He paid a hell of a lot of money for that newspaper. He can run it however he wants. She should start a newspaper. Then she can run it however she wants.

WAPO = The business version of FAFO.
Sadly, so many other examples, too. Hey, I wish Hollywood would still focus on their one and only job, which was to entertain the masses. I wish Disney/ESPN still focused on covering sports, instead of the incessant race-baiting from dullards like Ryan Clark. Or, propping up mental middletweight Stephen A. Smith to weigh in on all things political.
But, their corporate media overlords can't resist the opportunity to manipulate and brainwash a certain percentage of the masses. Like I said, FAFO.
They have nobody to blame but themselves, but the Karen's who are mad about the consequences don't even come close to understanding that it's the stupid woke mindset that they share which is crippling media, music, Hollywood, and entertainment in general.

So what happened?
WAPO is losing money, so I believe they are planning to lay off most if not all of the sports department.

Yikes
And most of the WaPo people think the big problem is that they didn’t endorse Kamala.

In early 2025, Semafor, citing internal data, reported that the WaPo’s daily active users fell from around 22.5 million in 2021 to 2.5-3 million by mid-2024.

The WaPo is a floating dumpster fire.

They laid off a third of their propagandists, in every department.

People who think “deserve” has any bearing on anything in life really grind my gears.

That was excellent. Thank You!!

The staffers there and their readers everywhere deserve better than these shortsighted decisions and the mismanagement that led to them.
So when people she views as peers lose their jobs -- it is an error that needs to be corrected.
I'm sure she shared equal concern when coal miners, custodians and other bue collar workers lost jobs.

Created this thread earlier today.
The link to the NYpost.com article is informative and it's reported that WaPo is pulling The Late Show w/ Steven Colbert... losing ~ $100 million a year. They laid off 300 of their near 1000 employees.
Bezos wants to turn the paper profitable but legacy media continues to die.
WaPo Reporters dug their own graves (Poli-Rant)

Within the larger administrative state network: CNN is the preferred PR firm of the State Dept.; the CIA use The Washington Post; the FBI use Politico and the New York Times; the DOJ use the New York Times and Wall Street Journal; while the control lawfare embeds within the domestic IC spread their narrative distribution to the NYT, WSJ and Politico depending on the context.
When we see the Washington Post contracting, shrinking or otherwise limited in their activity, we can be confident the feeder system from the CIA is subsequently diminishing. If the CIA was operating at full narrative weapon capacity, the Washington Post newsroom would be bustling. The opposite is also true, although we have not seen much of that until recently.

Especially hilarious because everybody seems to love sports news and talk 24-7. How many sports channels, blogs, news sites, radio shows....
Just goes to show if you suck major donkey d***, it won't help to try being cool.

The Post has been struggling because not many regular people want to be fed a steady diet of Progressive propaganda disguised as “news”.
Bezos is a businessman. He’s not really interested long-term in bleeding money.
The Lefty activists who make up a majority of The Post “staff” are pizzed off that a resulting business decision is having consequences for their long-term ability to advocate and propagandize for Leftist political causes.
