It’s no different than how I viewed BK. You are getting paid millions of dollars. It’s sinful to be this bad. I don’t give a rat’s arse about him being “a nice guy who knows ball.” F him get him the hell out of here now. He’s the worst coach of all time in any major sport at LSU, and before someone says Curley was worse you’re wrong because he beat an undefeated, top 5 Bama team in Bryant Denny. McPoop’s best win was falling arse backwards into a win against Arky his very first SEC game ever and it’s been downhill since.

I came here hoping for a headline saying CMM is fired but still nothing. I guess we have to suffer him this entire season.

Yep. Time for a change.
I don’t think they fired him last year because of buyout. They gave him more NiL money and he still couldn’t get it done.
They won’t fire him mid season. But I fully expect him to be gone by the end of the season.

The stupidity was giving him such a long contract from the start because of the Wade scandal
With the portal it’s no different then a coaching change
You are gonna lose the whole team
He’s proven he’s not a sec caliber coach
Hopefully mcmahons agent is finding another mid major landing spot for him

Thank Mr. Unlimited money/years contracts Woodward for that. What terrible administrator that guy was. He and BK stole from LSU plain and simple. I said it 1000 times- anyone could’ve reeled in top coaches spending someone else’s money. That’s not a skill. A&M and now LSU are paying for it, literally. I hope verge learned something.

Who was worst? At least in the modern era. Put it in this context. He’d have to win his next 32 SEC games just to get to .500 in league play for his career

I forced myself to watch McMahon’s press conference after that debacle yesterday. No plan on how to fix this. No vision or details. Just said “we have to stick together” the same thing he says after every loss.
He is out of answers and has no clue on how to fix this. I pray a change is made next month. Enough is enough.

Agreed but you and I both know the politics/financing/public opinion side that LsU would not do that short of him having some large scandal. They gave him time because of the stupid long contract that Woodward is famous for. Now they will fire him after the season.

LSU basketball has regressed since that first McMahon season when we were decidedly shorthanded. I remember that year the team tried hard to remain competitive in games we were obviously outclassed in -- I saw them not only beat a good Arkansas team, but stay in a game with Alabama at home til the bitter end! And the Tigers actually had a fairly decent team the following year.
This year has been a disaster ever since the word jump, in SEC play. After watching the game last night it would surprise me if the team wins even one more game

Firing him now serves no benefit, and if anything might tend to piss prospective coaches off. Verge and staff need to be hard at work identifying their guys and have a plan for when McMahon is fired in a couple weeks. That is what the focus should be right now.

If you can fire BK mid season you can fire an even worse coach MM! At least BK as bad as he was went to bowl games and had a winning record, MM can't make the tournament and has the worst Sec. Record ever! Fire him now move on and go find a real college basketball coach!

I can't believe I wake up everyday and out of 350+ schools my alma mater has the worst basketball coach in the country
