I have a sneaky suspicion that may be what we may be dealing with. It’s been a hell of a ride up, but I think this is a cool off year. Could be completely wrong … obviously. I think the general market goes sideways this year.

The only positive I have on my board today is my wife’s company. She works in insurance. They have been up substantially over the past couple years, but also seem to have strong days when the general market declines.

Things have felt off for a couple weeks for sure. Value is holding up but eventually it’ll get dragged down too if things get ugly. Hang tight guys.

I’m enjoying the discount. I’m 44 so have a ways to go before retirement.

I just keep buying and it seems to work out. I do have a decent amount in bonds waiting on a dip.

I’m shorting and waiting. Sitting on a pile of cash.

I think PMs and energy are the long plays due to AI needs. That said, I know the greenies are anti-nuclear but I don't think there's a realistic way to meet the power needs we're going to have without moving back to nuclear power generation.

Hopefully you time that game right. A pile of cash can dwindle to only zero. A short squeeze has no such limits.

SCHD up 13% YTD, just doesn’t own a single sexy name.

Even equal weight SP500 up 3.75%.

Hopefully a year for diversification to work.

So we’re going to spend more money than has ever been spent to build it all out and then crater the economy? How is that math supposed to work?

Which was preceded by four years of being outperformed by money market savings accounts. If you want comfort, all roads always lead back to MO.

If gold/silver don’t drop back too much their respective miners are eventually going to pop big time. Lots of talking heads also thing energy (especially O&G) is the next big commodity to run. That’s what I’d be looking at.

I’m weathering the storm and slowly building a decent MNR position. I expect the distribution to return to normal and price to get back north of 20$ when their natural gas plays mature.

Thanfully 50% of my port is in AAPL and energy stocks so I haven't really felt much of the carnage going on.

What's this doomer nonsense?

AI will be a productivity boom. Will there be some job displacement as the world goes through a seismic shift? Yes. Will we grow the pie at an accelerated rate? Also, yes.
