LSU's brand and the attitude seems to match Kiffin perfectly. Ole Miss was never big enough for him. Watching him embrace LSU and Louisiana is refreshing.

Lane Kiffin toes the line perfectly of being friends with the players but also respected and fear as their leader and coach.

I have been waiting for LSU to get a coach that will feed off of the swag that LSU has.

Someone that is also young enough to have fun and listen to the wants of the crowd but also smart enough to put winning first.

Im glad i was able to help make it happen

Spot the ball.

It's always great in the honeymoon stage. I'm sure you could find similar post 4 years ago when everyone felt LSU and their new HC were in "alignment".

Like every LSU HC in every sport everything is great....until that first loss

UM Lane signed #1 portal class, retained everyone worth a damn on the team, and visiting all the small communities in La.

Brian was grinding and losing on 3 star TEs 4 years ago.

Not the same

People thought BK was going to win national championships here just because he beat Bama in 2022. Hell even just last year people thought BK was grinding in silence because we signed the #1 portal class.

I can’t speak for others around here, but I never once felt good about BK.

This feels much different. LSU finally has a legit coach that can really be special here.

Kiffin and LSU is exciting.

BK screwed himself from the get go by letting go coaches he eventually had to rehire and hiring an amateur OC.

If that little lazy fart can go 34-14 doing nothing but show up to talk to Finebaum every Monday and games on Saturdays, just wait till Kiffin and this staff get rolling.

The adults are now in charge. That was the catchphrase on this very board 4 years ago. It was nauseating.

I don't remember fans thinking this way...I remember we hoped it would happen

That's complete revisionist spin.

When BK was hired, he was the most accomplished HC LSU had ever hired at the time he was hired. You kept seeing post on the board that the "adults were in charge" after the O debacle. He was able to hold on to commits like Howard and Campbell and also sign what would be LSU's two highest rated recruits, Perkins and Wiggins. It was a top 10 class after a coaching change and fans were excited he was able to rebuild the depleted roster through the portal. Dismissing the transfer class relative to Kiffin's class this season is silly given the fact that in 2022 going heavy in the portal to build a roster was not commonplace. In fact, the rule that 2x transfers were not immediately eligible was still in place.

All the fans were excited about BK and convinced that by year 2 or 3 he'd have LSU competing for championships. Then LSU lost to FSU, in large part, because of awful special team. However, fans were surprisingly patient (relatively speaking)...until Tennessee came into TS. LSU fumbled the opening kick and proceeded to get blown out from there. All the "perfect match" talk went out the window.

I'm NOT saying Kiffin won't perform at LSU. In fact, I think he will. I'm just saying that the offseason is the honeymoon period where everyone loves each other...until the games start getting played.

This. Go back to as recent as this summer when everyone was slobbing on this season’s team.

Prisoners of the moment.

I’m sure the first time Kiffin does something stupid that ends up costing LSU a game this board will be ready to shite can him and hire the next shiny up and comer.

I said from day 1 of the coaching search that LSU and Lane Kiffin are a match made in heaven.

There was good buzz with the Kelly hire. But nothing nearly to this extent.

Okay, I'll say it. No way TigerNation (or collegiate football) is NOT impressed with the program Lane Kiffin is putting together at LSU.

LSU is identifying the talent out there and going after that talent. If Brian Kelly was lazy hunting for talent.......Lane Kiffin is a super focused and aggressive. The character and talent of these young men is impressive and it's deep. Just what you need to build a dynasty.

We'll get a pretty good idea what we've got during the Spring Game in April. LSU be comin.
