Minn. Vikings expected to do "everything possible" to get Burrow if he becomes available

If tweet fails to load, click here. Trade window opens back up in March, but I don't expect anything this offseason. Joe is a loyal guy and he and Ja'Marr and their families are close. If this season goes haywire, I think you definitely see Burrow, Higgins, and Chase request trades.

Is Burrow now a Temu Darnold?

Kind of a ridiculous thing to say. Burrow has been more successful in both college and the NFL than Darnold.

They would have to purge so much cap space for that to even be possible due to how poorly the ex-GM constructed that roster
Burrow might have a better team in Cincy after that

I understand Burrow got a nice bag, but it was very dumb of him to tie his football future to that franchise.
I hope he can go somewhere and make another run at a Superbowl. The bad thing is, if Minnesota trades for him, they'll have to give up quite a bit and he might find himself in another situation like Cincy, as far as the team around him not having enough talent is concerned. It would be cool to see him with JJ again.

Why should we believe Alec Lewis

Burrow pushing so hard for Higgins to get that extension was foolish. They had needs at just about every position other than receiver and running back.
They could have shored up several of those over a couple of years with the money committed to Higgins.

The Bengals played hardball trading Trey Hendrickson. It is fantastical to think they’d just go and deal a Burrow or Chase even if they do request trades

I'd like to see Burrow head elsewhere

Cincy's SB and ACFCG run so early in Burrow's career almost created a false sense of security that he could expect to be there each year - before the entire franchise seemed to crumble around him and Chase

we about to get another Herschel Walker trade?
Draft Day 2 coming to theaters this fall

Burrow is way too injury prone to do what the Vikings are allegedly prepared to do. Seems like a really bad move to do that when the guy misses so many games.

yep. its a lose-lose situation for Burrow. If he gets out of Cincy, the team that gets him will be gutted.
Also, if Cincy gives up Burrow, that fanbase might completely disintegrate.

Top 10 quarterbacks don't become available that often, particularly in the prime of their careers. It will take quite a haul to get Burrow.

It's always amusing how people try to blame Burrow for the state of the Bengals, a historically inept franchise.

The Bengals weren’t giving Higgins an extension until Burrow stepped in and told them to.
He deserves his share of the blame for it.

Unless the Bengals are having financial troubles paying the Burrow contract, there is not way in 7 levels of Hell that Mike fricking Brown is going to trade him.
Anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional. If he does, it will be when Burrow is totally shot in 2-3 yrs and he can get whatever he can before he becomes a FA.
I could actually see trading one of the WRs before Burrow.
Joe dug his own grave by not pulling and Eli/Elway on draft night. Carson Palmer warned him. He clearly did. It listen

The Bengals are top half in the league with available cap this offseason. Can we please stop harping on his “bag” that he shouldn’t have taken?
