if they secure the perimeter it may work
throw some barbed wire up around the parking lot
only let in the shoppers
metal detection to prevent any guns from getting through

Granted, the image is from 2023, but if you look at Google street view of that shopping center, the only other businesses flanking the former Winn-Dixie are a Dollar General, a Dollar Tree, a coin laundromat, a nail salon, a beauty shop, and a Metro PCS wireless.

Hopefully the substation is not there for purposes of arresting those in the community. Let’s hope NOPD is planning to engage with folks including some impromptu dance parties, animal balloon making, grocery vouchers, parking lot slam poetry, etc.
