Why ain’t he coaching?

Seems to have a very good grasp on what’s going on in game. I think a big part of coaching is being able to see what’s going on in real time and he seems to be a step ahead of things before they happen.

He definitely knows ball. I’ve thought the same thing before about him. Not sure how he is with instructing others but he is always able to diagnose what’s going on quickly on the court.

Would like to see AD coaching this team. He would bring an old school, hard nosed type attitude.

Yep. I’d hate losing him on the mic though. He and Joel are great together.

I always think that and I'm sure he's gotten offers to at least interview for college or something.

He likes spending time his family, has enough and makes enough money, and doesn't need the stress.

Joel and AD are the best and most competent part about this organization.

I have no idea how they haven’t been poached yet by bigger markets.

AD has a pretty sweet gig as it is. Good amount of off time, zero stress outside of AD getting riled up during a broadcast, and he’s one of the most beloved people around the city.

No reason to trade that for the grind of coaching, but I do agree he would be a fantastic one

I'm confident that he will, once his kids are older.

How close is he to the front office? Does he watch horse racing? Go to church? Belong to a high end Mardi Gras Krewe? Friends with politicians? If yes to one or all of these then he qualifies to be next head coach.

Yeah I’ve seen that which is why I scratch my head. Maybe he doesn’t want to be an assistant, instead just go straight into being a NBA head coach. If that’s the case I can understand why he hasn’t gotten hired, although I would interview him just based on listening to his broadcasts. I feel like he could get an assistant job quick or college head coach.

There’s a whole lot more to coaching than being able to say what you would have did, after watching something that they did do, not happen.

He would be a popular hire for Dumars.

Son I think about this all the time.

He actually understands the game at a cerebral level. Which makes sense with his draft position way back then.

We would not get little bitched by other teams and we would not have any little bitches on our team.
