I’m not trying to be rude. But nepotism in Louisiana is absolutely insane.

I’ve just never seen it not hidden by even a smidgen of competence. But here? Dear lord, if you’re going to give your children a golden path, at least teach them something along the way beyond how to talk at cocktails.

Holy shite. I know the state is based on backpatting, but dear lord.

It sucks because so much of the state is amazing, and I’ll admit that as a Bama boy. The best can’t be beat. But politics and business are fricked here.

Which state agency or municipality government are you speaking of?

You wouldn't be talking to me like that if you knew who my daddy is.

Took me moving out of the state over 20 years ago to realize moving back would probably never happen.

That is of the main reasons we lag behind other states. In addition, so many people there think advancing means giving up the culture. We can advance without losing our identity.

It’s gross. It’s everywhere, all parishes.

I’ve seen it with my eyes. I was on the inside and saw it first hand in multiple parishes. Sickening. Also, pay scale for the same jobs in the same city paid vastly differently amounts and I won’t say what it looks like but hmm.

Waiting for the right time to go full smear on all the stuff I saw.

Being able to get out of tickets if you know someone. It's what makes Louisiana great.

I grew up in BR and there was a saying, "it's not what you know, it's who you know."

I used to intern at the LED recruiting department. Nepotism was a big reason why companies rejected our relocation proposals. Louisiana based managers had a reputation for hiring unqualified relatives or friends and running their office into the ground. Its why you see a lot of companies here bringing in out of state company men to run things.
