My buddy is coming in town and he’s looking for a dive place for jambalaya, etouffe, gumbo, etouffe, etc…

He loved KPauls, but he’s looking for something “locals” would go to for lunch.

I can only think of the Felix’s, Gumbo Shop in the quarter, Frankie & Johnnie’s, and Joey K’s.

Any other ideas?

Voleo’s in Westwego.

Guy worked for Prudhomme. It’s fits the “dive” criteria to a T.

This is the closest I can think of with that request.

Another vote for Coop’s.

Jacques-Imo's could be another option

Haven’t been but Lil Dizzy’s gets a lot of love and might fit the bill.

Edit: or Gabrielle
