Dude was an absolute horrible actor with a crappy accent, but ended up starring in some really good movies that we all suffered through despite his appearance.
I think my favorite movie he was ever in, was My Cousin Vinny.
Followed close by Karate Kid part 1
Both movies were made great by the heart throb chicks in them though, and both movies I would watch if channel flipping and they were on.

That cast was loaded.
Patrick Swayze, Rob Lowe, Matt Dillon, Emilio Estevez.
I’m sure I’m missing somebody.

He was never Oscar worthy, he had limitations, but calling him “absolute horrible” as an actor is a bit much.
I can’t picture anyone else playing the LaRusso character.

I love My Cousin Vinny. It's probably a better movie, but I was born in Natchez, MS, grew up in Vidalia, LA, Kosciusko, MS and Farmerville, LA. In the 70's I went in some Blues bars similar to where he plays in the movie. It hits home for me.

If I ever had a bulldog he would be named Sgt. Paddy.
