As I walk along eating this entire roll of Tums, I can't help but think 20 years ago I'd be sitting at the bar at the chimes 7-8 pints deep. Likely holding court with two or three friends. Trying to avoid Stinky's intrusion into our conversation.
frick I'm old.

27 years old, finishing work up at the office in downtown Chicago and counting the minutes until I could walk to the bar for the Friday night all you can eat and drink happy hour for $10-$20.
Still doing that kind of thing just in a different city and paying more to do it...but still love that Friday happy hour

I remember talking to a guy at work from Gauter who was saying that 2006 was going to be a good year. His home had been recently repaired from Katrina

Running 60-80 miles a week.
Living in a trailer, but looking at houses.
On the road Monday-Friday running title and negotiating mineral leases, spending lots of nights in hotels.
Wishing that just ONCE my Ragin Cajuns could play in a bowl game.
Constantly having to listen to my fiancé ask for my opinion on plans for our upcoming wedding. I love my dear wife of almost 20 years now…but damn. I didn’t give a shite about all those details.

Two in diapers at the same time? No thanks. We specifically planned ours out in a way that would not be the case.
