Attempting to undermine the actions of ICE, which the majority of voters supported when they elected Trump was the "will of the people". Attempting to thwart the policies of the duly elected President is the very definition of a "threat to democracy".

Can someone explain to me?

They have their own definition of Democracy. Essentially, it means they get full control and everyone else serves them.

Democrats see themselves as the people, no matter the vote totals, so whatever they want is democracy.

Its like this.
If you're stupid you dont realize it. Everyone else does, thus everyone around you suffers. Eventually stupid people find other stupid people and they become one giant group of stupidity.

Democrats will ALWAYS accuse their opposition of doing exactly what the democrats themselves are doing.

It is a universal truth

Just change "democracy" to "Democrats" and you will know what they mean.

Conservatives see government, personal identity, and the people of America as three completely distinct entities or concepts. Progressives do not. To them, the government IS the people, and that government is their identity.

I don't get why more people in Minneapolis aren't livid that they've been getting ripped of by Learing Centers.

Moral superiority, an excess of enablement, and an absence of accountability.

They are told they are morally correct in what they do as "the good guys." They are then enabled/encouraged to do the outlandish things and because they are never held accountable, the whole things starts over and over.

Just look at ICE:

- They see ICE as evil, and separating families and having no compassion and they fights this (moral superiority.)
- Then they are encouraged by their "leaders" to riot in the streets, in places like ICE facilities, and now churches (enablement.)
- Then after all that, none of them are really arrested, charged, prosecuted at any real level and so they just continue (no accountability.)

Rinse and repeat.

They're running sob stories now about how Somalis are afraid to go to work because of "recent events."

I watch a fair amount of MSNBC and listen to progressive radio on XM. Mostly, just to see what the crazies are up to on a daily basis.

The statement, "threat to our democracy" is almost religious to them.

It can entirely be summed up as democracy=democrat.

That's it. Very simple. An extension of that is, anyone who doesn't vote democrat, is a threat to democracy.

Get on Facebook and look up your women's March photos from this weekend. A plurality of signs reference democracy in some form.

A lack of objective introspection?
A lack of a mirror to stand in front of?

Was it democrats that rushed and broke into various capitol buildings when Biden's election was the "will of the people" by the same metrics?

You guys need to realize there are crazies on both sides of the spectrum, and it just so happens this board is home to many of the ones from the right (which is why you guys don't see the hypocrisy in posts like these).

First thing that came to mind is democracy sucks sometimes... speaking to early covid vax times, the will of a simple if not overwhelming majority may very well have been to force shots on everyone... didn't make it right. But one could say Biden was enacting the will of the majority.

That was unconstitutional as hell though.

The ICE thing is both supported by a majority (to whatever extent) AND constitutionally sound.
