Are YouTube ads becoming more excessive, numerous, and obnoxious for others too?

I can’t even get through a short 10 minute video without the most annoying ads, and sometimes they are the unskippable two part kind more often. Two or three times per video, even the short ones.
I know YouTube is doing this so I’ll buy the damn premium. I’m tempted to do it because it’s getting really fricking annoying.
Dear Facebook, but I wanted to know if this is only me or what the heck others are thinking about this

It's the best $15 I spend on screen entertainment. I watch Youtube more than anything else.

I think it has a lot to do with the creator/channel. Some are really loading up on the ads, and it is annoying.

2005-2015 was hands down the best era for YouTube. Virtually zero comment moderation on videos and no advertisements. Short simple videos that didn’t have AI watermarks or TikTok broccoli head figs putting on a fake, super happy, over-the-top facade to reel viewers in.

I would pay youtube premium 3 times every month just to keep it.. Its by far and away the best app out there. And if you are on phone there is a lot of good

Yep, went premium and haven't looked back. Also great for an ad free kids account.

I guess I'm just petty, because I'm not paying for premium when the strategy is to annoy us all into upgrading

YT is my primary entertainment. I pay for it now and will never look back!

Awful. The infomercials are the absolute worst. They suck.

Best $24 credit my credit card company takes care of.

I don’t get ads because I use brave browser.

I have YT premium and have never felt better about a subscription in my life.

My biggest gripe is they’ll break in a crucial part of a game with an ad.

I yearn for those bygone days when ads weren’t annoying

They are the equivalent of listening to Moscano on 104.5. 2 minutes of content for every 5 minutes of commercials.

Yep. They get you every way possible.

I held that same line for a long time.
I finally bit the bullet a couple months ago for a family plan. Figured I can choose to fight city hall at the expense of my viewing experience or just pay for a better viewing experience and everyone in the house is happier for it. It’s worth $20/month for us.

My premium is only 9 bucks and easily the most value of any streaming service sub I have.
