Look how they knocked him down from #5 to #9 after the rest have already committed. Can’t really justify that in my head, but we know what we are getting in him regardless.

There are two different On3 rankings, he’s 5 in one and 9 in another. I have no idea why that’s the case, but it’s very confusing.
ETA: apparently on3 industry rankings is a combined weighted average from on3, 247, espn and rivals. That’s where he’s at #5 and a 5 star. On3 itself has him at #9 and a 4 star

What a whirlwind the last two months have been. I thought that we would’ve been lucky to even get Lane in the first place. Thrilled that we got him. I can see where the LK hype comes from. This portal season has been exceptional on paper. Finally some optimism in this program.

Always seems to happen when players commit to LSU. Might happen to other schools too, but as LSU fans we see stars and rankings dip once committed.
