Watch a great documentary from 2012 about Alfred the Great? Awesome here’s your algorithm now filled with thousands of AI shite all produced in the last 2 months with thousands more on the way everyday. It’s hurting normal history creators on YouTube, and it’s ruining YouTube itself.
Fricking horseshite.
Fricking horseshite.

yea its crap, and the worst part is it's made by dumbfrick millennials that don't know shite about history in the first place.

Are you saying this because everyone younger than you is a millennial or are the content creators actually between the ages of 30-48?

Yeah, all of social media is starting to suck. There's just too much fake shite out there. It's amazing how many people fall for it

Are you aware that the youngest millennials are 30 years old?

The AI cityscape recreations are the greatest thing that's happened for history teachers in a long time, however. I definitely might've paid attention back in school if they had these

I understand the gripe about your algorithm being flooded by AI slop, but if anything this will help the actual good history creators.

I like how everything is seemingly narrated in one of only like three different voices.

ai can do cool things and it can destroy and manipulate. I hate to say we need some sort of legislation but we do.

This is my beef in recipe groups right now. All AI slop. Nah, I want to see how it looks when you actually cooked it and served it.

There's letting AI make something, which results in slop.
And there's utilizing some level of AI to bring your own work to life in a way you couldn't before.
Obviously the former is swamping the algorithm because it's easy to produce, like "reaction" videos that just wholesale use someone else's work and stick their little screen in the corner and act like they are contributing.
It's the quality of the product that is more important than how it was made.

Its troubling and kind of scary how often I see people believing things and posting stuff on social media that are so obviously not real or true.

I have a bunch of suggested videos and there is one that is created by AI titled "If angels are in your house notice these 7 signs". But the only way to fight back is not watch and spread the word. I read something last month about how people are making money with content strictly generated by AI and that's cool, its there for the taking and as much as I am pro AI flooding youtube with all of these videos sucks.

Alfred the Great was pretty great.

However the real damage was done when Google bought YouTube. Prior to this a search would bring up an unlimited number of matching entries. You could step through pages worth for a really deep dive. Now days you are lucky to get a dozen that will hopefully match but generally even start wandering around before that. There are thousands of old related video that u practically have to have had bookmarked to find now. Older (less popular) versions of covers by a secondary musician (maybe once only live) are really hard to get back to... even when knowing who and the song.

At a point in the not too distant future, there’s gonna be so much AI content on the Internet, that none of it is going to be reliable, and in my opinion, people will just turn away from it altogether.
