Federalist: Trump's Do-Nothing Response in Minn. is Embarrassment

The Federalist
quote:
While President Trump overzealously obsesses about acquiring Greenland and other foreign policy ventures, AI, and swapping RINO Sen. Bill Cassidy with a RINO House member, a major American state is continuing its rapid descent into Third World despotism....
The anarchists reportedly believed one of the church’s pastors was a member of ICE, according to Baptist Press.
Members of the Trump administration quickly took to social media to pledge accountability for the incident. Attorney General Pam Bondi claimed that the Justice Department will “prosecute federal crimes and ensure that the rule of law prevails,” while White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said that “President Trump will not tolerate the intimidation and harassment of Christians in their sacred places of worship.”
Except, the president has already tolerated this type of leftist-led “intimidation and harassment” throughout Minnesota for weeks.
The primary reason those left-wing anarchists felt comfortable enough storming that church is because Trump and his administration have given them zero reason to fear any real accountability for their actions.
Left-wing violence and harassment against ICE agents and everyday residents have been occurring in Minneapolis and across the state for weeks. And thus far, Trump and his team have done virtually nothing but fire off a bunch of empty threats that have done nothing to shut down interference with immigration operations and other leftist-led harassment of civilians.
The president’s pathetic and weak response is already an embarrassment. But should he continue this impotent strategy, the anarchy currently unfolding is bound to get much, much worse.
Continued abdication of proper law enforcement will further embolden leftist agitators to take more egregious and increasingly violent actions against ICE and non-leftists in Minnesota. And once their allies operating in other cities and states see that there are no real consequences from the Trump administration for this apparent lawbreaking, the violence will in all likelihood spread like wildfire across the country, culminating in a “summer of love” 2.0.
The time for do-nothing social media posts and statements is way over. The law must be enforced.

TBH... I'm a little disappointed he's not cracking skulls over there. The church takeover was incendiary. Imagine if anyone did that to a mosque. Libs would lose their fricking minds.

Don’t you dare underestimate the power of a Bondi tweet, pal.

Trump should take a queue from the mullahs in Iran, or the CCP in China, or the Russian government or any number of other countries who wouldn't be allowing a buncha unhinged rabble rousers to pester Federal law enforcement agents trying to do their job.

It's quite frustrating that this has been allowed to fester for weeks. I think there is some very bad advice flowing uphill from the DoJ to the WH. We always initially hear Trump talk tough followed by the thud of another DoJ turd hitting the floor.. What I think is happening is that Trump's initial position is immediate action, but then is blunted by idiots within his cabinet, DoJ and the party who begin this handwringing about optics and the mid terms. It's not isolated either. I think it's happening across the board with another recent example being Iran.. At this point I don't want to hear about another DoJ probe. Don't tell me you're investigating Don Lemon for potential violations of the KKK act. Don't tell me you have 1100 paratroopers on standby.. shite or get off the fricking pot.

I've been saying this for 8 months.
The federal troops and or NG troops need to be where the enforcement of federal law is being actively obstructed.
Not random cities across the US.

While there’s an awful lot of things DJT has done that I’ve really liked, so far when it gets down to the nut-cutting time on these types of issues, MAGA at the national level seems to largely begin and end with social media and WWE-inspired smack talk.
We keep being told by the more ardent supporters that it’s only a matter of time…..and we keep waiting.
The vast majority of America would fully support DJT if he ever unleashed some law and order on these communists.
Not sure what it has to take for this admin to finally match their words with action.

The majority are against what is happening from the fascist, since you choose to label people. trump is losing support from his own doing and will be a lame duck if he continues doing idiotic things here and abroad.

The Trump administration response to the Minnesota is what it should be at this point. The more unhinged the democrat socialist Marxist become violent, the more they support they lose of the American people. There will be a tipping point where he Marxist commit an act that is so reprehensible that even the liberals will not be able to justify.
If Trump sends in troops and blood is shed, the MSM will run with Trump is dictator authoritarian. There will be violence, but the violence and blood shed, but the violence needs to come from the Marxist first before the American pubic comes to a consensus that the left is the enemy and the left IS the enemy to this country.

you do understand the reason you don't sleep well at night is because Trump has done a whole a lot of shite since the minute he was sworn in.

Trumpet doesn’t have it in him to concentrate on one thing at a time. His ego is damaged by no Nobel prize so hey, let’s invade an ally.

Like most Lefties today, you wouldn’t know a genuine “fascist” if one smacked you upside the noggin (and that’d have been the nicest thing they did to you).
As far as Trump “losing support from his own doing” exactly what is he doing in this situation?
The whole point of the OP story is his inability / unwillingness to do anything up there (other than tweet) as the Left encourages the anarchy.

I think they are waiting until after MLK day to take serious action. Stephen Miller posted on X on Jan 10 that “justice is coming January 20” or words to that effect. I think we will see some movement. Trump has given them enough rope at this point.

Maybe, just maybe, Trump isn’t a fascist, authoritarian dictator.

What should the response be?
Sending the national guard? That will just embolden the left even more. It won’t stop them. Plus some judge would block it.
