Some funding packages have already been passed by the Senate. So, this would be a partial partial shutdown or something like that. Also, Trump should veto the packages that have been sent to him by Congress, they are trash and don't implement any of the cuts that Doge has made. The Doge cuts are only temporary, and Trump can only direct the agencies not to spend certain monies. However, if Congress keeps funding everything, those agencies will be fully funded the second Trump leaves office.

Absolutely. Our GOP-majority Congress has only passed “swamp business as usual” funding bills to this point. I’d be suspicious if Trump doesn’t veto them.

Didn't they already pass legislation after the first stating that military would get paid no matter what?
Seems only real downside would be air travel and the impacts there.
The general population would be pissed, especially middle of tax season if they didn't get their refunds.
