Anyone following the monk walk?

Group of Monks started in FT Worth, TX walking to DC on “ Peace walk”. Coming through the Charlotte, NC area today. People lining up on the side of roads to see them walk by.
The cause is cool I guess. Just wonder if a group of southern Baptist doing the same thing would draw as much praise and attention? Doubtful.

If a group of Southern Baptist did it then they’d have to stop every few hours so they could sneak off to drink

They came through SW Louisiana a few weeks ago. Someone said one got hit by a car along the way.

They came through central Alabama about 2 weeks ago. I saw them walk across the Edmund Pettus bridge. That was pretty cool.

They basically walked through my front yard in Ridgeway SC. Were very polite but I didn't see the dog with them.
