How do women do it?

I just saw a group of women in conversation. All of them were speaking at the same time and none of them appeared to be listening yet the conversation went on and on.
What is this secret skill they possess that they can speak and listen at the same time?

Probably talking about that creepy gay dude watching them.

They're not expecting a reply. They aren't speaking to each other. They are speaking to themselves with an audience.
This is very similar to how "streamers" operate. They speak, at, their audience and cherry-pick things they wish to reply to. It seems whimsical, but it's a calculated form of preaching.

Great thought. My version is they’re not having a conversation, they’re speaking at each other. A conversation would imply there is an interest in what the other person has to say.

this one. Some are worse than others. we had a friend who we stopped inviting to group functions because his wife was so bad about this it ruined the night. she would literally just talk louder and louder until she was in full scream until everyone else stopped talking.

I thought you were going to ask how they bleed for seven days and don't die.

The worst is when you have this person and they are impossible to please. Nothing is ever good enough. I believe this is what many jokes about mother-in-laws comes from. It's the never happy woman that has a captive audience.
The play is to realize that no matter how much you try, you will not succeed. Ignore these people. Do not feed their unreasonable demands.
So good for you by stopping the invites. I'm sure she is seething and poisoning the eardrums of everyone that comes within earshot of her, but at least you don't have to hear it.

Women are yappers and have no shame about it nor the realization it’s mostly noise pollution to the rest of the world.

They're probably all jacked up on their kid's Adderall like 80% of the women in Louisiana.

It’s not a conversation. It’s a performance.

They can't, women being able to multitask is a myth. No one can multitask, it's not possible.

My guess is that they weren’t listening to everything, they probably heard pieces of the conversation and (rapidly) pieced together the rest of what was being said shortly after they were done speaking.
It’s incredibly impressive and definitely a distinctly female trait (although I’m sure males can learn how to do it). My two youngest (girls) do this with their friends. It looks like chaos but they all can recall almost perfectly what was said by everyone else.

The secret is THEY DON’T LISTEN! All they are interested in hearing is THEMSELVES.
