Isidore Newman teacher and coach arrested in connection with child sexual abuse material

According to the AG’s office, 49-year-old Benoit G. Cransac was apprehended on campus by the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation agents. Benoit is reportedly a French national with legal with residence in the United States.
Agents said they received a tip from the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). They said that images “suspected to be child sex abuse material” were allegedly uploaded to an online account. This was confirmed when agents reviewed the images.
