He’s only where he is because his dad. And, he’s a jack arse who takes personal jabs at players and teams when they’re on the losing end.

His style is a mash up of several other PBP. Frick that guy.

Gonna have to go with his call of Warren Morris’s homer.

He's the absolute best. I wish he would call every game I watch.

No one who grew up with Keith Jackson would ever think Sean McDonough was a top tier PBP broadcaster.

It feels like he actively gambles on the game and he will put in snide comments if the calls go against his team

I’m 61 and loved Keith Jackson. Sean is the best PBP guy in the biz today.

Kevin Harlan is currently the best PBP broadcaster in the business and it isn’t particularly close.

The dude has been calling games on national TV, in multiple sports, for over 30 years. He’s where he is because of how good of an announcer he his. He would have been dumped by the wayside long ago if he wasn’t damn good at his job.

I have never understood the appeal of him. His dad Will was more entertaining than he is and anyone that tries to compare him to Keith Jackson is clueless!

Sean is pretty underrated. In an era where Gus Johnson needs to change his britches during games and the homerism of a select few during SEC games, I find McDonough pretty stable.
