Is Treydez Green holding out for a QB signing?

If he's turned down 2 LSU offers, then he must be waiting to see which QB Lane signs first. Maybe wanting to know who will be throwing the passes down the field, and how much money is left over after signing the new QB.

Doesn't matter to me.
I don't know why so many people worry about this bullshite process and the reasons behind each decision.

Didn’t he sign a Nike deal? Green would be dumb to leave Lane bc Lane will make him a lot of money next year. Even if VanBuren is the QB, Green will make a lot of money in the draft.

Or he is waiting on other teams to run-up the amount. He is likely trying to maximize his "salary". People in other professions do it all the time.

Yea I i think the Nike contract will keep him here.

I don't see LSU giving him more money. It's an easy conversation. "Hey, we're trying to get help getting you the ball and keeping you open. Without that, you're pretty much useless to us."

TreyDez is amazing, but he is not mandatory. Offensive Line, D Line are mandatory. A smart, hard hitting, playmaker safety is mandatory. Great Linebackers are mandatory. I hope we do NOT overpay for Green.

It won’t. He might stay, but it won’t be because of the Nike deal.

Treydez is staying simply because of Kiffin's history with TE's (or tweeners) with his skill set and build.
Kiffin will showcase any receiver with specific plays and setups just to run those plays. Not many coaches will do that.

Hypothetical question, but say Treydez leaves but you use that money to sign Cam Coleman, would you do it?

What is crazy is that you have a player like him and for the entire season he has only 29 catches. He should have had 50-60 or so. That’ll change in ‘26!

Yall need to realize that in most cases it’s not the kids running the show anymore.
It’s slimy agents who have zero school loyalty or friendships they’ve developed at camps over the years or perspectives on NFL development upside or thoughts on what type of offense would be fun to play in.
Everyone’s had advisors in the past, but now that this money printing factory is legal, it’s shady agent uncle on steroids, greed distilled that’s quickly replacing the spirit and local loyalty and relationships that hallmarked the last 75 years of college football.
It sucks. We’re all going to watch it still, but I must admit that I haven’t felt as great about the wins or as bad about the losses the last couple years. Something’s missing.

He missed several games with a mcl sprain. But we definitely did underutilize him in alot of games.

frick no. Green is the biggest freak show in college football. He’s Kyle Pitts 2.0.

This is no a charade.
It’s now a business. And Green would be foolish to leave money on the table.
He likely wants to stay at LSU, but wants to get paid something near what the market will pay him
If you are advising the kid, you advise him to do exactly this to get the money right.
Under the circumstances, I see nothing sinister or disloyal about it.
