Drinking and drugs aren’t a problem. I’m just ready to drop it all and go 100% clean.

Anyone else just decided to go sober 100% and how’s that going? Was social settings an adjustment? That’s the only time I drink now anyway.

Pick up CrossFit, Atheism and Libertarianism while you’re at it there.

No i don't plan on it but there will be plenty of people that reply here talking about how awesome they are now that they don't drink anymore.

Absolutely not.

Life is short and no matter what, all of us are garunteed to die.

The average life span is 73 years old so I’m gonna enjoy life and i actually truly love the taste of an ice cold beer. It is magical when it hits for the first time. That tingly feeling you get is a huge rush of endorphins.

Do you even have your first DUI yet?

I am not going fully sober. I am keeping occasional THC in the mix but eliminating alcohol fully. Not as a resolution necessarily, but I just feel it's best for my health at this time.

I used to feel that same way. It just doesn’t feel the same anymore. I get that same feeling from that first sip of black coffee in the morning.

This thread makes me want to drink. Good thing that started before even reading it.

i didn't drink for a year 2 years ago and while it was adjustment at first, one of the smartest things i've ever done. i'll occasionally have a drink now, but it's rare. it's like you reset your brain, i dont know how else to describe it.

You won’t regret it. I haven’t drank in several years. Life is a ton better. Healthier, clear mind, and overall better at anything I do. It helped that I like to be active and never really enjoyed hanging out late at bar rooms.

Never really hit rock bottom, I just made a lot of goals I wanted to achieve and a roadmap to get there. Drinking hindered achieving any of them so I just quit altogether.

Good luck!

My last drink of alcohol was 12/31/24. Life changing decision for both me and my family, and I truly mean that. However, I also understand most folks can likely drink without having to drink everything in sight like me.

I do drink THC seltzers. However, the only danger I pose after drinking those is to a box of honey buns.
