They also use a loophole where they do not pay taxes for the first two years they own the business and then they basically donate their business to a family member and the cycle is wash rinse repeat.

I watched a solid documentary about the "Patels" owning these motels/hotels. They buy a run down POS motel for next to nothing, fire all the workers and bring in their family and relatives to run the joint which keeps their costs low.
Then when profitable, the relative will go out on their own and buy their own. That is how the Patel family got to owning the big chain hotels like Marriott etc.

The real question is why are all of these businesses being sold by American to these Indians?
I guess greedy boomers are doing it to retire and don’t give a shite about their kids and grandkids owning what they built. Can’t sign the business over and back the financing so their kids can have something to build on. Better to cash out and blow the money traveling the country in a million dollar RV and leave their kids nothing. I can’t wait till that entire shite generation is gone

The person receiving the money for the sale doesn't give a frick what the long term repercussions are. They made theirs.
