Lane better have a plan because this is looking like a massive problemo.

They were poor this year but young as hell. To see six of them in the portal is wild.

I’m sure Lane has no plan. You should expect a phone call to help consult him on a plan forward.

No matter what's here next year, they can't be worse than what's already here.

When are people going to learn that agents run college football now. These kids see the amount of money the coaches and the school are dishing out to players and many like the OL at LSU are doing as advised and hitting the portal to hopefully renegotiate a new deal whether they were good this year or not. The wild Wild West will not last forever so why not jump into the portal and find out how valued you are. Either we see the value in you or not and pay you. If my kid was a major college football player I would have him hit the portal every year to strike a new deal. It is what it is at this time. I am sure some kids were als told to take a hike. There is no way in hell all 6 OL that have entered the portal leave LSU. No way!!!

This is seldom the case. It can almost always be worse.

That being said, I doubt it will be worse or even as bad as this year was.

A couple of those guys might very well be talked out of the portal.

How about you just watch and see how the portal plays out on Jan 2nd-Jan16th before posting your nonsense.

This is the new reality of College Football until there are rules and regulations limiting these things you will see players hitting the portal every year. shite Coaches have talked about how the agents are telling their players to enter the portal every year even if they want to remain on the team just to get a better deal.

OP gets it.

LSU or player-agent say test your market value, and see if LSU or agent-player agree or exceed to remain a Tiger. If LSU can get better OL than what was here for same or less money, then you would probably see a mass exodus of OL.

Oh, I’m very well aware that just a handful of agents control and have ruined college football. It’s a 100 times worse business model than the NFL. It’s nearly to the point that I’ll just start taking those extra hunting and fishing trips I’ve passed on for years. It’s not worth the headache anymore.

I expect half were processed or given low grades and not expected to get PT. The other half I figure are up for bid.

If your kid was not a key player he would be told to take a hike. In what world are a bunch of O-linemen who were not good except maybe one, going to have any leverage to re-negotiate with LSU? They are going in the portal because they were likely told there will be new competition coming in and no job is safe.

LSU announced that they were going to spend liberally in the Portal. Some of those guys are gambling that LSU will resign them with better deals. Some have come to the realization that they're not SEC Caliber. Hard to imagine any of these guys getting any sort of a deal especially when they contributed to the worst rushing offense in the SEC.

General statement a-hole

Replace “better have a plan”
With “not ideal and to the point of being concerning”
