Thompson was a 5 Star WR at one point in high school, not sure why the lack of production at Auburn, but he has the intangibles at 6'3" 222 lbs and 4.45 40. The few receptions he does have are nice. Probably a cheaper price tag than Coleman as well. Wouldn't hurt to give this kid a look.

I hope the days of signing portal guys with zero production are over.

He has some nice plays and good hands, not to mention he shared the field with Coleman and Simmons. I'm not saying break the bank for him but I'd take him—guess that’s why I'm not in charge.. lol

It seems like we used to go for the big body WR. Kiffin seems to prioritize WR who create separation. Will be interesting to see which players we target.

I know as much as anyone else here…not much.

But, I keep listening to as much as I can.

And WR might not be as splashy as we all want.

From what I’ve consistently heard and can put together…

Winston Watkins, OM, Fr, likely
Duce Alexander, OM, So, probably

And when you look at our returning guys—
Kyle Parker
Phillip Wright I’ll
TaRon Francis

Signees:
Bradyn Allen
Jabari Mack

We are likely looking at 1 “Alpha” from the portal, Who’s experienced and productive.

I fully expect us to go young at this position, esp if we get the two Ole Miss guys.

I am confident we aren’t repeating last years effort at WR/TE.

But again, we won’t know until it’s open and the market sets.

Those are all tangibles. Which intangibles does he have?

Work ethic, leadership, focus, football IQ, competitive drive, and/or coachability? Something else?

Id be ok with this. We brought in all kinds of receivers last year and most did nothing for us. Kiffins offense will get receivers the ball. Spend that money on OL and to plug the holes on defense

Graded out 52.5 on PFF this season which is pretty miserable, hard pass

Did you watch Auburn Offense this year? He is the perfect receiver for next year's offense

There should never be another transfer portal guy taken by LSU that doesn’t have flat out production. F@ck intangibles on transfers from here on out.

He personally graded out close to a 50, that is not good. It has nothing to do with their offense, he individually played poorly is what they are grading at PFF.

Cam Coleman is the true prize from there who made spectacular play after spectacular play. Thats a guy who needs to get the ball 7-10 times a game thrown his way from a competent QB.

Perry has done nothing to show he is close to being a good contributor in college yet and was from same class as Coleman.

We have the money to spend on guys with production and are proven good players, we dont need to be taking multiple shots in the dark on more Nic Andersons and Destyn Hills because they were ranked high back in high school but have devastating injuries or lack of production since then.

This sounds about right, but I also think we'll get Omarion Miller.

I think Nick Marsh is one of LSU's top targets who we're predicted to land.

From A-Z Sports
quote:

WR Nick Marsh (Michigan State) – LSU
There will be a ton of suitors for Nick Marsh, who brings impact size and a crazy catch radius in the boundary. Notre Dame is another school expected to make a big push, but the track record for LSU at the position could be hard to beat. Head coach Lane Kiffin would do wonders for Marsh and his potential.
