The Lutherans are the ones that brought all of these Somalians and Trump said he is going to make the Lutheran church pay us back for all the damage they've caused. But why did Lutherans want them here in the first place?

They have a history of outreach and providing humanitarian aid to Somalia, but this is probably true of many other countries. I’m not sure what’s special to them about Somalia.

I’m going to go with no.

I’m guessing their intentions were well-meaning, but like most liberals, their idealism isn’t based on reality, but rather emotion and pie-in-the-sky wish casting of how they wish the world is, rather than the reality of how it actually is.

See their incessant fight for gun control laws. The world is full of evil, they just aren’t good at acknowledging that.

Then, we can get the Catholics to pay us back for all the illegal immigration they helped facilitate.

Why bring them here?

What happened to the missionary model of going there and showing them about Jesus?

Note - it's the ELCA that is supporting the illegals and Somalis.

It is not the LCMS.

There are a lot of good, conservative Lutherans. The Missouri Synod isn’t so bad. The bad ones are like the PCUSA giving all Presbyterians a bad name.

Power. People used to being subjugated just pivot to who they're subjugated by. If you imported me, I'll vote blue no matter who (says every mostly illegal.)

This. LCMS Lutherans are very conservative and very traditional. I’m LCMS and regard some of the other Lutheran denominations as an abomination. I really hate getting lumped in with them. We are nothing alike.

My wife and I are 4th generation LCMS through are fathers. We were baptized, confirmed, and married in the same church where our fathers, grandfathers, and great grandfathers were baptized, confirmed, married and buried. Our daughter was baptized there as well. There isn’t a LCMS school or congregation in the town where we live but there is a WELS congregation and school. That’s where our daughter goes and we became members a few years ago as well. There are many similarities between WELS and LCMS but WELS is a tick more conservative. Neither are remotely close to the ELCA groups that are involved with the Minnesota issues.

Knowing my dad would have an entertaining reaction before we enrolled our daughter I asked him that since no LCMS school existed nearby should we enroll her in a WELS school or an ELCA school. The man came unglued ranting about about his disdain for the social views of ELCA.

No. The ELCA is libtard central. Most others are conservative. Missouri and Wisconsin Synods are very conservative and cover various churches across the nation. (E.g., Community Lutheran in Escondido, CA is in the Missouri Synod.)

I'm a member of WELS.

Along with the Missouri synod, there is no similarities between us and the other Lutheran churches.

I respectfully disagree with your premises that most liberals are well-meaning and that they are emotional idealists. Liberals are not stupid, nor are they naive. They are far more cunning than those they despise. Every one of their “causes” is a grift that politicians are throwing billions of dollars at. Their ideology is based on money and power, nothing else.

Liberals’ push for gun control is the perfect example of all this. The grift lies in the thousands of programs receiving billions in federal taxpayer money to combat gun violence. The programs do nothing, see USAID. For their utopia to exist, they need a disarmed and easily controlled populace.

Liberals are fully aware of the evil in the world because a lot of them are evil. Most are just dishonest. Very few are completely naive.

If you want to defeat them, remove all funding for “causes” and pass a smaller budget. This will not happen. Republicans are in on the grift too, see the BBB. And Trump mistakenly believes part of the solution is federal spending. The problem is federal spending.
