I think it is weird and slightly "sus" (as the youngsters say) for a man to be overly concerned with his body image.

To me, this is something that is normal for women. But for a man to make it his primary or even a major focus of day to day life just doesn't seem normal.

The purpose of eating right and exercising are normally to benefit one's health. When I hear men talk about how they "cheated" on their diet and ate something or that they feel guilty for all the food they ate, it sounds like something a female would say.

Don't y'all think so?

I love being able to eat whatever I want. I have good genes so I can never be obese. I'm thankful for that.

My philosophy is that health is wealth. Eating right is never a bad thing. Going to the gym is beneficial, and I encourage that.

But at a certain point, the meatheads out there who put a needle in their butt on some Dbol or whatever are really just working to impress other men. It's like their body is a car that they modify and build up to add horsepower so they can meet up in a parking lot and show off their whip to other gearheads.

The reality is that while being a roided out meathead might get you some double takes from attractive women, women will be the first ones to tell you that intelligence, humor, and a fat wallet will get you much farther than how much you can curl.

And if you live in a state like Texas, ain't nobody intimidated by your body builder look. And you know why.

Sunday Musings

BMI = 27

I think most people agree. Theres a difference between obsessive looks-maxxing and eating right and exercising.

Most people that eat eight and exercise will be good enough.

I’ve never understood the 5’8” guy wanting to be 220lbs ripped. You look like a f’ing baffoon and work hard to look that way.

Be fit, athletic, and eat decent.

I workout for future me. Just so happens that you can get decent looking if you stick with it. I eat super clean now and feel much better than when I ate like shite.

How we present ourselves is important.

If you're fat people are going to assume that you lack discipline/self control, are lazy, and cant commit to anything.

You dont have to take fitness to bodybuilding extremes but to say fitness is just for health reasons is wrong. It helps in a lot of areas of life to look like you give a shite about yourself. If you look like you've been blasting tren for 2 years you don't look like you give a shite about yourself.

I agree. I appreciate a man who puts time into working out and grooming to look nice and put together.

Its very habitual, and comes to rule their live.

I used to work out 1.5-2 hours a day 5 days a week and thought I was too obsessed with working out, but those obsessed with body image, its their entire world. Its pathological.

Why the frick do you care?

You sound like an idiot…just say hey…I think men should be fat and not lift weights or stay in shape

Guess who cares if you care about how you look? Your wife. Yall wonder why so many of you don’t get laid by your wife…perfect example right here

And how is an hour a day obsessed?

Eating right and staying fit can be signs of narcissistic tendencies ... OR ... it can be an indication of discipline and self-control.

When I see a women who is in amazing shape, my immediate thoughts are:

1a. I want to fold her up like a pretzel
1b. I'm impressed by (and strongly attracted to) her self-discipline and dedication.

1b occurs only a millisecond after 1a.

There are far too many lazy people in the world. I look for signs of people having their shite together and their level of fitness is one I can see without knowing much else.

Appearances can be deceiving.

You never know what kind of family background or professional accomplishments a person has just by looking at them.

Be a little wiser.

What's most important is enjoying life. Eating what you want within reason. Drinking what you want within reason. That's a part of it.
