Transfer portal announcement posts

Do all players entering the portal use the same template? They all use the same phrases.
“After a lot of prayer and tough conversation…”
“I’ve made the difficult decision…”
“I always dreamed of playing for (enter school they are leaving)…”
It’s tired. When they all sound the same it comes off as these kids don’t know how to think for themselves.
You see the same thing on the other side of the portal and in high school recruits where they all use Lebrons phrase of “I’ll be taking my talents to…”

Done yelling at the clouds. The kid left my lawn also.

I don't read them anymore, so yes you can assume they are all going to be same. I wouldn't get too upset about it, lol.

I’m not upset at all. Just bizarre how they all follow the lead of the previous guy.
I saw a kid from ULL just entered and apparently he didn’t play one down in the 2 years at ULL.
Did he really need to announce he’s leaving?

They announce for potential suitors. Just another way to get their names out there.

I just asked ChatGPT to write me an announcement for instagram :
Here are a few Instagram-ready caption options with different tones. You can tweak names, years, or emojis to fit your style.
?
Option 1: Respectful & Professional
After a lot of prayer and reflection, I’ve decided to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal. I’m extremely grateful for my time at LSU, my teammates, coaches, and the fans who supported me along the way. This wasn’t an easy decision, but I’m excited for the next chapter of my journey. Thank you, Tiger Nation. ????
#GeauxTigers #TransferPortal
?
Option 2: Short & Clean
With gratitude for LSU and everyone who’s been part of my journey, I’ve decided to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal. Excited for what’s next. ??
#GeauxTigers
?
Option 3: More Personal
LSU will always be a part of me. I’m thankful for the relationships, lessons, and memories made here. After careful consideration, I’ll be entering the NCAA Transfer Portal to continue chasing my goals. Much love to Tiger Nation. ??
#GeauxTigers #NextChapter
?
Option 4: Faith-Forward
Trusting God with the next step. After a lot of thought and prayer, I’ve decided to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal. Forever thankful for my time at LSU and everyone who supported me. On to the next chapter. ??
#GeauxTigers
If you want, tell me:
• your position
• whether you want coaches tagged / “DMs open” language
• more hype vs. more low-key
and I can tailor it exactly to you.

They allow chat gpt to write this.

Every single one of those examples are spot on. It’s obvious now where they are coming up with these posts

Half of them probably have the same agent writing their press releases.

I kind of feel sorry for them

There’s only so many ways to say you are leaving and going to another school, as well as committing to a school. At some point, every phrase will be used by someone else. If everyone didn’t use a cliche, then not using a cliche would actually be similar and boring.

For someone who hasn't played, I doubt that name stands out.
But regardless, don't they have a transfer portal site?

No announcement necessary. Just GTFO

Sports Information Directors usually write that nonsense for players. That's why the same tired phrases are written. Truth is, most athletes can spell "cat." Have you ever read their X or Instagram posts? Truly embarrassing to a university.

Anybody remember the last time you worried about a player being academically ineligible? Crazy how much stronger academic performance has gotten across the country

Most are illiterate immature kids that hit the lottery.
College football is a fraud pay to play Professional league. High school kids have “agents”. Unfettered free agency and kickbacks
Send them all to the NFL G League to work as hired servants for the billionaires.
That being said, may Lane buy the best roster in college football for the next 25 years and go into his 2nd hand with rings.

How many have you actually heard speak like that? Of course it is aPrepared statment

Can you give a few examples of something unique that you would prefer them say? It’s thousands of people announcing the same thing. Not sure what kind of variety you are expecting. Just like when a coach accepts a new job and they thank their previous school then talk about how “special” their new school is.
