EBRSO arrest man who stole more than $1,000 in lotion and candles from Bath & Body Works

East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a man accused of stealing more than $1,000 worth of Bath & Body Works products, including candles, lotion and body spray, according to the agency.

EBRSO said deputies arrested Tristan Idlebird after allegedly stealing $1,026.15 in merchandise. The arrest was announced as part of the sheriff’s office’s Winter Blast ORC Operation, which targets organized retail crime.

In a social media post, EBRSO said the stolen items included “a lot of candles,” “a whole lot of lotion,” and enough body spray “to be noticed from a mile away.”

According to the sheriff’s office, Idlebird was booked for theft and illegal possession of stolen items. Authorities also said he is listed as a fugitive from Texas for theft-related charges.

Deputies seized a cell phone during the arrest, and photos released by EBRSO show a large collection of Bath & Body Works products recovered during the investigation.

“No amount of fragrance could cover up this crime,” the sheriff’s office said in its post.
