To me, I take that as your halfway out the door of giving a shite about your career. You’re trying to word salad out of being a bitch.

I disagree, I rather him than players like Cooks who bails midseason

Demario, Cam, AK love this organization and want to win here if anywhere

What he was said to have done and his version of what transpired, aren’t they the same thing?

100%

Wish he’d just retire. His legs are done. It’s a young mans position and he has nothing really left.

I don’t understand some of y’all’s thought process.

People are clamoring to get rid of prodctive players that love the team and promote a good culture.

AK can still play. I think he could be a stud next year with a better interior line and a quarterback who knows how to get him the ball in space.

This ain’t basketball where you just flip an entire roster and compete the next year.

Plus, it would be awesome to see Demario, Cam, Taysom, and Kamara back in the playoffs next year.

Depends on at what $$. Demario is the only one playing up to his contract.

If we can get the others back on better deals then it would be welcome and they could helps us win and continue to be great leaders

Cam has 8.5 sacks (15th in NFL) @ $6mm per year (took a pay cut)

Von Miller has 7 sacks @ $6.1mm
Hendrickson 4 sacks @ $29mm
J Bosa 5 sacks @ $12mm

Cam is absolutely playing up to his deal

Agree to disagree

The guy is being paid significantly more than he would be anywhere else in the league at his age. We basically gave him a lifetime achievement contract, and he is getting banged up yearly. He’s old and we could easily have an entire RB room for a fraction of his cost, including much younger, explosive players.

I’d argue teams compete more quickly after some turnover in the nfl than the nba.

Look at Jacksonville, New England, Chicago. Those rosters flipped pretty quickly and with good leadership they went from top 5-10 picks to rolling.

#TeamAlvin.

He deserves at least one more playoff run with the Saints.

Its hard for a player that plays for awhile to play their whole career for one team. Most will get a last contract with another team.

Don't spend too much time trying to figure it out.

Many here are only here to sling shite and talk garbage about the team.

This place is not representative of the Saints fan base as a whole.

Is that the roster or the coach? All 3 got new coaches and new schemes this year.

Kamara has the 5th AAV among NFL RBs. He hasn’t had a rush go over 30 yards since 2021. He hasn’t had the juice in awhile. Guys who are paid like that don’t need a perfect everything to find success.

We could have saved $30 mil against the cap but we reupped him when we should not have. Great, he can finish his career as a Saint. Doesn’t mean he needs to be the guy

We gave him that extension. At worse he should be the third down back next year in passing situations.

But his days of starting and being a bell cow are done

Wonder if he would be open to taking a pay cut to stay here?

Is not a better statement than

quote:

If I'm traded that I'll just retire.

When it comes to other team potentially inquiring about your availability for trade.

I get that he's trying to quench the flames of this comments but lets face it, He's not a stupid man. He understands how his comments effect things like negotiations and such.
