can anyone say "social contagion'?

quote:

Let’s tackle the first question. Has there been a noticeable decline in the share of 18–22-year-olds who identify as transgender over the last couple of years? The answer is unequivocal: yes.

Theres a whole lot of graphs and numbers, but I think it's interesting the author seems to lay some blame on Covid. I guess when you are stuck inside and your only interaction is on internet safe spaces on Facebook and reddit it's easier for these people to claim they are girls.

I'll be very glad when this bullshite goes away

most of the late trend of transitioning was female to male Which is far more damaging when you think about what it does to humankind

It is largely a fad. Being "gay" followed a similar curve in the youth beginning 10-15 years ago.

ETA: The big difference in the two being that the gay fad just left people with some embarrassing tales of sexual exploration, whilst the trans mess chemically and physically altered people, often times irreversibly.

This woman was on Joe Rogan several years ago. She has a book titled 'The End of Gender: Debunking the Myths about Sex and Identity in Our Society'

Book on Amazon

I listened to her talk about it and if I recall she shows in... I think 2016.. where the number of teenagers who ID'd as trans spiked.

She also talked about how the younger a person transitions the more likely they are to commit suicide because people don't know who they are when they are teenagers, but once they transition there is no going back.

Nothing just happens for no reason and the whole "we need to accept trans people" has ben about encouraging people who think they are trans to get reassignment surgery because that's where the money is. That's how they sell more of the drugs people need to become the opposite sex. And since they can't run a commercial that says "Are you feeling a little off. Thats because you are probably the opposite sex. Transition and ask your doctor about this drug. Be the best version of yourself", they had to change public perception

And by doing this it has made more people become more educated on it and its going in the opposite direction.

This was brilliant marketing on the prt of big-pharm and doctors who found a way to sell ‘trans’ as a product and a service.

Hook one and you got a patient for life.

I personally know one, who was friends with another... the friend actually started hormone stuff at 13 or so (she is probably about 20 now) and got zipper titted at 17 or 18.

The one I know personally is more of a social transition/ name change situation but without medical intervention thank goodness.

Anyway- this shite started before covid- it only came in full public view around then.

I think it got underground popular with that frikkin I am Jazz shite.

From your link

To be honest, the three surveys Kaufmann used aren’t what I’d call high quality. The Andover and Brown data are literally just censuses of each college’s student body, and while the FIRE data are large (over 50,000 respondents), they’re not truly representative because they only include young adults currently attending one of fewer than 600 universities.

Social contagions tend to die out when they get to be “ uncool”. Hopefully this happens before you cut your junk

Culture is dehumanizing us
We've minimized motherhood, neglected to see the value in just being a mom, which is easily the most important thing a person can do, not just a woman,
the most important thing a person can do is be a mom and nurture the next generation. That's how we maintain humanity

Obviously not to minimize fathers I mean, you couldn't have mothers without fathers and our penises

but just in the development of a child how important a mother is so many of the lessons a father can teach come as you're but if you weren't given the development as a younger child how can you grow As an adolescent or teenager

As a mother, I agree.

Warehousing our children and parents is a part of our culture that I distinctly am saddened by.

A lot of it has got to do with sick mothers that project this on kids.

They using their kids as a customizable lifestyle accessory rather than a human being with inherent human rights.

Advances in medical technology combined with having the disposable resources has given these people the opportunity to commit atrocities on the most venerable.

Mutilating and chemically castrating kids is some real biblical shite.

You could see this would be the way it is going when it became clear that lot of the young folks who were coming out trans were in fact just following the lead of an adult, usually a teacher, and doing what their friends were doing. Youth do not have the vote for reason, they are very easily swayable and lack long term thinking...well so do many but youth are more so.

I recall reading about how whole classes of young women would come out trans at the same time and lo and behold they just happened to have a trans teacher who was "guiding" them in class with pro-trans propaganda.

What's crazy is the the US decided to buck science on this issue and go full in, due to politics...trans were a cause to support for the prog left, when in many other countries they decided to halt youth transitioning.

I guess the saying is true...the US will get around eventually to doing the right thing.

Exactly this. For the reasons you listed, the role of mother should carry the same amount of respect a reverence given to any profession. Motherhood (within the bounds of matrimony) should be honored and encouraged.

And while we’re at it, the vital role of fathers should no longer be trivialized either. A society thrives when families thrive. And for families to thrive, you have to have age-bearing women marrying men and raising children together.

That’s a lot harder to live down

People are going to feel dumb af holding the bag on this one. We'll look back at this trans chic era as another historical footnote of hysteria.
