were left out of the Playoffs. CFP DEI is alive and well. Just wait until James Madison ( ranked 4 spots behind Tulane) makes their glorious appearance.

This is a typical pitiful "committee" opinion. DEI is a good example of sound good but in the real world sucks..

Can you imagine if LSU were Notre Dame, Vandy or Texas to name 3?

This was a really bad decision to allow Tulane and James Madison in this playoff..

You’re complaining because 8 teams subjectively ranked 11-19 missed the playoff. Those rankings were made by the idiots on the playoff committee.

Sorry, but Tulane and JMU both made the playoffs per objective criteria established before the season - being one of the five highest rated conference champions. Tulane beat the ACC champ head to head.

Now, maybe it won’t matter with this year’s teams, but we’ve had several occasions in the past where a team outside one of the power conferences was good enough to contend for a national championship, but didn’t get a shot (UCF) because a media darling was chosen instead.

I’d offer that the NCAA basketball tournament (especially the first two days) and the US Open are two of the greatest sporting events because of their expanded fields that teams can win their way into.

Bottom line, the BEST 12 teams are NOT in the playoffs.....things must change.

Oh no!

Let’s all weep for the 11th and 12th ranked teams!

The playoff could be 100 teams and yall mofos would still cry for teams left out

They will expand to 16, but will not exclude the Tulane of the world. It really should just be the 12 best teams.

Nobody will ever know if the top 12 teams are actually in the playoff. The difference between the 12th and 16th best teams in the country is minuscule.

Eh. I’ll take it how it is. We always complained that the 3rd team out of the national championship was screwed. In this system you definitely have the best 5 teams in the field. And you give that reminder to these scrub conferences that you’re undefeated there but you’re blown out here.

Nothing objective about DEI. Tulane got routed by the only P4 team they played and lost by more than one score to a 6-6 G6 team.

None that were winning it all (& probably not even beating UGA next) so who cares. The argument about seeds 10-12 is so pointless

No way Jose. You do realize LSU came within a WISP of losing at home, in traditional uniforms, to WESTERN KENTUCKY!! If only their QB had held on to that flea flicker pass route it would have happened.

This LSU team, with its abysmal offense, would have been humiliated by Tulane

They have to let teams from minor league conferences in to keep from getting sued for antitrust violations.
