Thanks to all for the previous suggestions.
Follow up. What would be some good places that are very casual New Orleans fare. No reservations type place.

Was thinking Walk Ons. J/K.

We are staying downtown near canal.

We have a car but I imagine there’s a lot of good stuff right there.

Felix’s?

Felix’s or Deanie’s fits your criteria. Happy hour at Dominica in the Roosevelt is good also.

Liuzza's on Bienville
Katie's on Iberville
Parkway Bakery corner of Hagan and Toulouse St.
Mandina's on Canal St.

All of them are in the Mid-City area.

Breakfast/brunch:

Willa Jean, Gris Gris, Bearcat, Birdy’s at the Bower, Steins, Toast, Ironworks Coffee & Crepes, French Toast, but best of all is Molly’s Rise and Shine.
*some of these are be in lower Garden District.

The Eggs Benedict Poboy at Stanley's, it's is in Jackson Square. Brunch at Brennan's. Mother's if you want to stand in line, it's touristy.
Elizabeth in Bywater is great and has good Bloody Mary's.

Atchafalaya has a killer Bloody Mary bar- loaded drinks with soft shell crab, etc. Good food and environment with music on Some days.

Nah, I threw out some solid breakfast places. I am going to eat Lucky Dog and have some Tarot card readings. Mother's was tongue in cheek - I said it was touristy. Heck, I think Parkway is now more touristy than Mother's.
