I shaved my beard after like 15+ years (it wasn't unruly or long) last year and it was pretty traumatic

Beards just seem like the trend that wont end .
Im old enough to remember when beards were trendy in the 1980s.. and now theyve been trendy again , for the last ten years or so.. there are guys who will say “Omg theyre not trendy !! Guys wore beards all throughout history !!!”.. yeah , but guys also wore tights and wigs in court, doesnt mean it’s a good look .
Personally i can grow a full beard in less than a week, but i just like to rock stubble for a few days, then I’ll shave twice a week .. for no other reason than it’s the easiest routine ive found .

This is why I been clean shaven last 5 years. For one I dont want to look like everyone else. Saw my face getting fat and cut back on the cookies this fall. Now im back to not having fat cheeks

My wife always complains when I cut off the beard. "You look twelve." Yeah, I was a babyface when we met. If I ever lose 30 pounds I might keep the beard off.

I trimmed mine down to a #2 a while back after having a beard for 13+ years (usually the shortest I go is a #8) and it wasn’t great. I’m not a fatass so it wasn’t a double chin issue, but I definitely look much better with a beard
ETA: it only took like a month to grow back to a respectable length

My wife hates when I shave my beard. Always says it makes me look like a baby.

That makes my soul hurt. Dudes with weak chins (myself included) should not have undercuts without facial hair.

With the exception of the very short time I had a fu manchu in grad school, I've been clean shaven my whole life.
Not including Jesus, beards are for those that don't want to look themselves in the mirror every AM and take a critical look at themselves (And yes, I channeling my inner Mingo with that one...)
