The Bolivarian Navy of Venezuela has begun escorting ships carrying petroleum products leaving the country, following the recent seizure of a sanctioned oil tanker in the Southern Caribbean by the United States and threats of a “blockade” by President Donald J. Trump, with several ships - transporting urea, petroleum coke and other oil-based products - departing the Port of José bound for Asia between Tuesday evening and Wednesday, receiving a naval escort by warships of the Venezuelan Navy, three people familiar with the matter told the New York Times.
Bold strategy cotton

Time for some submarine work old school.

The Venezuelan Navy's fleet includes Italian-made Lupo-class frigates, Spanish Guaiquerí-class patrol vessels, and others from Germany, UK, and Iran. Due to sanctions and maintenance challenges, operational readiness is reportedly low, with unclear ammunition status—many assets are non-functional or limited.

Not that I'm supportive of going to war with Venezuela, but I can guarantee that Captain doesn't have the stones to fire on a U.S. Naval vessel. It's never worked out well for anyone who has.

The Venezuelan Navy is only slightly more powerful than the Cajun Navy.

Settle all scores Mr. President

Yeah, those Venezuelan sailors have got to be thinking that if someone gets excited, the US Navy will kill them no matter what.

1 submarine
1 frigate
25 patrol boat
4 landing ship tank
3 auxiliary ship
Hope they don't have too many oil tankers leaving port at one time. Gonna be stretched mighty thin.

We're using tomahawks and LRASM (long range) now.
