Why do some people not flush the toilet in public bathrooms?

Because it took multiple flushes to get the bowl clear enough for them to use it and they fear it will overflow as they leave?

Because you don't want to touch a lever that someone else just pissed on. We just installed automatic flushers on the toilets at work….they’re supposed to flush when you stand up. Instead, anytime you shift or move on the seat, they flush and throw some water up on your arse!

Its so gross. The only time it's acceptable to do this is at a place that has shared women / men bathrooms with tranny flags all over the place. So like Starbucks and microbreweries

Ever seen the guy who is in the stall taking a shite and then just leaves without washing his hands?
That’s gross.
I usually check the soap first when I go in.
If there is soap for me to wash my hands, I’ll flush.
If not …I’ll be damned if I’m touching a public toilet.

It pains me to think about as someone who tries, really tries, to see the good in people. But the simple truth is that we enable this behavior. We could stop it if we really wanted to. But we don't want to break those eggs. I guess we've decided that the omelet isn't worth it.

This isn’t a topic that doesn’t come up in everyday conversation, so I guess I just assumed the following with actually knowing…I kick the handle to flush, and a lot of times lift the seat with my foot. The typical design of public bathroom flush handle makes it pretty easy.
Am I the only one that does this? If I can’t do it with my foot, doubt I’m flushing either.
