Or even worse, Sloan+Davis?

Like Durham can do it. Ok maybe Berry. Ok, maybe Zavion? Well Berry again. Or how about Durham? JuJuan??

Durham regressed despite being injured last year and having the same OC both years

Sloan is gone and the offense still sucks with shiite play calling. A huge part of the problem with the offense is still running the offense.

I don’t know, and don’t care.

Every offensive coach coached in a crap scheme with shite performance.
Sloan
Atkins
Davis
Hankton
Wilson

They watched this shite in practice from spring to Fall. We’re given a pass against Clemson and Tech, yet did nothing to change system or approach. Yes the scheme was terrible, but it does work in some places…just not here.

Instead of trying to isolate who may be salvageable, start completely new.

Yes we will take a hit in New Orleans, yes Aggie or Texas or Ole Miss will employ him. So. Aggie and Ole Miss beat us just fine with him in our side.

The whole Offensive scheme sucks.Everything needs to be coordinated together, LSUs was a cluster.THe OL was the main reason ,and Sloan wasnt on the same page much less the same book.BK spit the bit and had no idea what was going on.

I guess you didn't see the short interview with Durham a couple of weeks ago that was linked here, AND you may not believe him but this is what he said.

When asked about being injured last season, a reporter wanted to know how he was this season health-wise. He said "Actually, I'm hurt more this season that I was last season."

Frank is a smooth talking man who others that have the same skin color seem to like - thus he is a good recruiter.
No evidence to suggest he is a good college football coach.

Have our Rbs been super disappointing? yes but in general our run game has been super disappointing

when we have a frick about running the ball he coached Ridley, Hill, Fournette, Guice, Hilliard, Ware

That’s not a bad group at all is it?

Durham was clearly injured this year. He very little burst and his top end speed was lacking. I think it was in the Vandy game he broke one and got ran down easily, he was clearly missing the top gear from early last year.

If you have a poo O-line, that is what happens.

Also, Harlem is NOT a dive RB. Frank watched his film recruiting him. He has vision and is fast AF outside the tackles.

Until we burn that playbook and start over, LSU will suck on offense...period

well yeah that’s what we’re doing

we’ve pretty much run inside zone as 90% of our RB run game since 2019

I mean TDP set a school record when we spammed counter against florida because it was so against tendency

His RB rotations have always been dumb, going back to when he was at LSU before.

Does/Did Frank have unilateral authority to insert whatever RB he wants during the games? Or was that Sloan/BK dictating that?

they were, but not of reasons of sheer stupidity.

They were based on tailoring the personnel to the next play (or series) to make up for weaknesses in other areas. For example if they knew they were going to test downfield or in the middle and had to have extra protection because OL was deficient you saw Durham.

It is ultimately self-defeating when you find yourself in that position because the opposing sideline is always reading and reacting to your substitutions. And because we were in that box we are/were giving away important keys.

Frank simply sucks as a RB coach. His RBs for the most part all regressed under him throughout his time at LSU, not just since Sloan became OC.

He coached Ridley one year and he was already developed at that point. Porter as his RB coach the previous two years was the reason.

quote:

Hill, Fournette

Freaks of nature and again, you can say those two, but that's it.

quote:

Guice

He had nothing to do with Guice who was a Freshmam behind Fournette in 2015 (Frank's last year).

quote:

Hilliard

Never lived up to the hype. Most rushing yards was 464. Most TDs was his freshman year. So he never actually improved.

quote:

Ware

Never lived up to the hype. Had 7.3 ypa as a freshment, never broke 4.0 after that. Had less than 1250 yards for his career.

So no, those were not a bad group at all. Most were an awful group.

Michael Ford is the same.

4* and 5* RBs with more than 1 year under Frank that failed to live up to even 2* or 3* status:

Ware, Ford, Hilliard, Blue, Cain, Emory (<600 yds in 3 years under Wilson), Jackson, Durham.

Nearly every single one either didn't improve or actually got worse after year 1.

Frank simply sucks as a RB coach and "coach" in general.

At Ole Miss, without BenJarvus Green-Ellis, was his only running back worth a crap and was basically the same running back in his two years at Ole Miss that he was in his Freshmen and Sophomore year at freaking Indiana despite being a grown man as a RS JR and RS SR at Ole Miss.

Frank cannot develop talent at all.
