Playoff Tiebreaker

End of season tiebreaker system has been argued in our league for a while. Here’s this year’s scenario:
Team A, B, and C tied for last playoff spot.
Team A is 1-1 vs B/C, 1st in total points
Team B is 0-2 vs B/C, 2nd in total points
Team C is 2-0 vs B/C, 3rd in total points
The question is: should total points or head to head matter more when determining the tiebreaker?

Our league is points. I like it based on points

Points should be the only thing that matters in a tie breaker

I prefer the heads up model like in real football. But our league its based of the highest points.

Total points makes significantly more sense to me because bye weeks are random. If you played someone a week where two of your best players were on bye, but were better the rest of the season that feels like an unfair penalty IMO.

Total points. Anyone can have a big week or a down week due to injuries, byes, etc.

Points every time. Nothing else has any meaning

It’s points
Head to head is ridiculous

Well if everyone is all in on total points for your tiebreaker why do you play H2H each week?
Sounds like yall need to go a rotisserie league & drop the H2H format.
But answer to your question H2H should be your tiebreaker, because you play H2H schedule. But you wanta break a tie with a different format?

Have always done this order for tie breakers:
H2h record.
Points Scored
Points allowed (never gets this far).
Why should the team 2-0 against the other two teams be penalized due to points? Points should only come into play if all records and h2h matches are equal. Especially if its a H2H league. Matchups should hold more weight than points.

Do NFL teams play other franchises missing players on a bye week? Saints play the 49ers and CMC is on a bye. I didn't think so. Total points is the only way to do it.

No, but they certainly do play them when their star players are injured. Bye weeks are a know metric you can plan for from the beginning. Points SHOULD NOT be your first tiebreaker. Especially in a H2H league.

I could not disagree more. Why would 1 week have more of a bearing than a season would? If Josh Allen and Bijan Robinson have a bye week 8 when I play someone who has everyone playing, why would I be punished for that?

Then why play h2h if overall points are all that matters in the end?
You play who's in front of you. You beat them, you have the leg up on them. Otherwise no point in h2h.
Edit to Add.
Since this is all based on the NFL, heres how they break down 3 way ties. Notice, there's no consolation given for teams missing their star players in a given week.
