Roomba left the house last night. What’s my liability?

Weather was perfect, so last night I left the back patio door open to get a cool draft through the house, which I do all the time. Roomba also runs at night which I also do all the time. Back patio door was open this morning, I shut it on my way to work. I thought nothing of it until tonight when I went to empty the bin on the Roomba.

It’s gone out the back door and been lodged in the doormat before, but obviously never onto the patio or out the house.

I cannot find the Roomba, I can only assume it’s rolled all the way down the driveway, and I’m wondering if I’m liable for whatever might happen if a car runs over it or some little kid has an issue with it.

TLDR- Roomba trying to escape and ruin my credit

This sounds like the beginning of a Disney movie about a lost Roomba trying to find its way home.

You’re going to end up with a raccoon tearing up your kitchen. That’s if you’re lucky.

Along with his friend that he met along the way...

There's a Blind Faith song that would be great for the soundtrack.

If he had airtagged the roomba, slam dunk. But also no post about this.

It doesn’t have a mapping feature that you can use to locate it?

Wishing you the best of luck and I promise I’m not trying to laugh at your misfortune but the concept of a “runaway Roomba” is fricking hysterical

You got to lease one of Elon’s Optimus robots to hunt down your Roomba.

If that works out the robot could be tasked with supervising the Roomba from here on out.
