Why do people hate Subaru

3 month out west slept in it and camped out of it my Outback with it's clearance and AWD served me well. Straight male btw, I just live the freestyle life and have the money to do it.

Same reason people hate Jeep owners. It's a status symbol to cruise around with the angry frown headlight cowl and 167 plastic ducks on the dash.
Too bad Subaru has gotten the gray haired lesbian market locked up. They make great cars and the WRX is the shite.

I don’t think they do. People just like easy jokes, and clowning on Subarus as lesbo wagons is an easy joke.
I was at a bar a few years ago, and my keys fell out of my pocket without noticing it. Thankfully someone turned them into the bartender, and he shouted across the room “if anyone is missing keys to their lesbo wagon come and see me.” I chuckled.

My son is a pilot in the Air Force, based in Spokane (was in Colorado Springs while at the academy). He has a wife, plenty of money, and could drive anything he'd like, but chose a Subaru (the wife has one too). They are great cars. Reliable, fuel efficient, roomy and practical in places you need AWD to drive the roads in bad weather. Y'all keep saying it's just for lesbians and look dumb.

Most jeep owners.. not all.., will go a mile out of their way to avoid a mud puddle.
I hunt in Colorado and if you drive snowy or icy roads, you are going to see a lot of Subarus. It’s a compact workhorse in those conditions. Has been for decades.

You don't need all wheel drive in South Louisiana. They are mechanically unique.

I had a WRX limited years ago as a company ride. It was fun but 2 in, the Houston traffic vs manual, and I swapped for a Silverado.

The early 2000 era ones had some head gasket issues. They do need a little more attention than a Honda. Like a rotory motor. Check the oil level more often.

This. They are incredibly practical cars and not flashy, if you have one you probably dgaf what people think about you…it’s like cargo shorts, fanny packs, transitions glasses, etc. easy targets that you need to get over before ever putting them on.

Last winter my buddy went to TN and they got a lot of snow. His F250 4x4 couldn't handle the snow on the hills and was stuck at his cabin for almost 2 days, meanwhile a lesbo in a subaru was driving up and down the hills all day long.
