I hope the whole system comes crashing down

CFB like we knew is over. It’s dead. Mourn the loss but don’t think this genie is ever going back in the bottle. It’s pure minor league football now.

My interest pales in comparison to just 5 years ago. I often don’t even know what time LSU plays on Saturdays. Sad, because it was such a factor in my life before.

I thing age has a lot to do with too though.

As is the case with many other things, the courts have destroyed a good thing. The arrogance of unaccountable people in black robes strikes again.

It’s already dead and quite frankly, I don’t even care who wins it all. It’s nothing more than soul-less corporatized global entertainment now.

Part of what made pre-NIL college football so enjoyable was that players wanted to play for the university and not themselves or money. It was a way for students and alumni to relate with student-athletes in their love for the school (because that’s what they were before NIL). It was all about forming small local communities, something that the NFL has never been able to do since so many of its franchises have fans from all over the world.

The college football world that I grew up to love during the 80s, 90s, 2000s, and early 2010s has been dead and buried for good. It will never go back to what it was before NIL. All because some dumbass cocksucker liberal activist judge decided to test the boundaries and allow players to get paid.

At the end of the day, a team in the top 10 is the best team. Previously in the 4 team playoff pretty much everyone said the top 4 was the best teams. There is a small chance someone outside the top 10 could get hot and make a run. But I think the best team is in the top 10. So all this stuff is not a big deal. Someone will always be unhappy they got left out.

I don’t know the exact reason, but despite being a huge LSU football fan the last LSU game I watched in its entirety we were still undefeated. I still try to watch at least a little football on the weekends but my interest in the sport in general has decreased dramatically in the past few years.

The Supreme Court decision that opened the door for this was 9-0, conservatives and liberals on the same side.

In fact, that noted Trotskyite left-wing radical Brett Kavanaugh, in his opinion, signaled that he was willing to go even farther in giving the players more freedom.

To say this is a liberal-conservative deal basically is a sign of ignorance.

Yeah fans are mad at a system that THEIR team agreed to. Maybe the ACC should figure out a better way for dealing with a tiebreaker.

I know several people who don’t watch as much as they used to. Sure they didn’t completely stop watching but aren’t as passionate about it anymore.
